Chacin so far:

BABIP: .344 (career .285 - this is impressive considering that he pitched several years at Coors)
LOB%: 60% (career 72%)
HR/FB%: 38% (career 10.5%)

Long story short, maybe he's been horrible and that's the cause, but give it a few weeks for the luck to potentially even out.

Velocity is down a bit. He's tended to ramp it up as the season goes by. Both of the last 2 seasons he started in the very low 90s and got to 94 by midseason. In 2016 he kept it up all year and in 2017 it trailed back down near the end of the year.
