Gotta enjoy this win streak while we can cause this Cubs series is going to be extremely frustrating.

Apparently Thames **** up his thumb on diving to make a play at 1st. Doesn't sound like great news.

I watched the counsell interview and he definitely seemed concerned. Torn thumb ligaments can be a two or three month injury. Hope it's not that severe.

At least they do have some options at 1st.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

We do have Aguliar, but the platoon was working well.

Choi is a good option if we must put Thames on the DL for weeks/months.

Anderson and Chacin swapped, Chacin going today, Anderson tomorrow vs. Cubs. Makes sense.

Kinda crazy how good the bullpen has been and how little they spent to build it. Hope it continues.

This is the good thing about having depth. Also Ryan Braun can always play some first too and platoon with Aguilar

I'm not too worried about the Cubs they have been scuffling themselves and I don't have the stats to prove it but it seems that the Brewers play better at Wrigley than they do at home versus the Cubs

Splitting hairs here, but you don't have a lefty in that platoon. Braun was neutral last year, but has always destroyed LHP (as has Aguilar). Braun still probably would be a better bet against RHP, but you do lose a lot by not having a guy that absolutely mashes RHP like Thames.

Going back to something we talked about earlier, A.J. Bayatpour no longer works at Fox 6.

Yea, look for example how much the Rockies spent on their bullpen with much lesser results.

Our pen can't continue being this amazing, but it does have good pieces and just think when Knebel gets back. It easily could remain among the best in the league and in today's baseball, a good bullpen can really lead to lots of wins.

****, a torn ligament in the thumb is going to cost Thames like two months. Pretty annoying that we can't get our offense at full health for any length of time.
