Do we ever hit Greinke? I think I recall maybe one game where he forced his exit pre-6th inning since leaving Milwaukee. He just owns Brewer bats.

Wow, this is a really long series that begins 9 days ago.

I have this sick feeling that we're going to go on like a 1-9 stretch after twirly said he's off the tanking wagon 2 days ago.

Putting two on in front of Goldschmidt, who absolutely murders us at Miller Park, seems not ideal.

Either that strike zone box is off or this ump has missed a few obvious strikes so far.

Was hoping to see Arcia take another step forward instead of whatever the **** he's doing up there at the plate so far this season.

LOL at Brian. I know you're supposed to suck the Brewers dick but don't piss in my glass and tell me it's lemonade. Our farm system doesn't have soooooo much talent. You're soooooo full of **** and I want to punch you in the face.

Shaw can't be that far from GG quality at 3rd base, he is great

Heck of a play Shaw there to get jeffress out of some possible trouble.
Currious to see if its hader or knebel for the 9th.

He's far surpassed Gary Gaetti quality imo.

Lamb’s and Santana’s HR’s felt like pop-ups. Miller Park is not a friendly place for fly ball pitchers. No wonder Anderson has already given up quite a few.
I don’t know what to make of Arcia any longer. I mean saladino comes along and he’s this year’s version of last year’s Sogard w better range and more pop. What exactly is Arcia? I’m unsure.

If Arcia was just a random player who wasn't touted, he's barely in the lineup these days, right?

idk man. This system is stacked. Obviously there is no projected #1 frontline pitcher but then again weve seen a few times those guys flame out hard (Giolito). Theres only a few systems I would take over ours.

It's pretty well loaded with useful players. I think I had used this analogy a lot in the offseason, but we may be going for the Cards' model of the past few decades. Of course you need your PooHoles or maybe your Alex Reyes (assuming the projections are true), but in general, they got by on having a deep system to sustain a regular season and getting lucky a few times in a decade in the playoffs.
The one downside of this is that I think that more teams tanking means less times that someone like the Cards have a chance to luck through the playoffs. There will be some super-elite teams waiting.

I'd definitely say there is a lot of talent in the system. It's very very deep. Like has been mentioned, there just isn't that top end blue chipper that gets all of the attention. I think they are trying to capitalize on inefficiencies in the league's scouting departments like going after younger talent that is further away.
