Brewers are starting to put some distance between them and the division. Up four games, 8-2 in the 10, no other team is better than .500

This team is exceeding my expectations. Stearns and Counsell are proving to be a great fit. Really enjoy watching this team. Likability is huge for me and they have it in spades.

I really am appreciating the creativity I'm seeing w/ Couns and Stearns mixing up the end of the roster right now. They're pulling a lot of strings in many different areas - cash considerations, waivers, call-ups/send downs...and they really haven't been missing a beat. The clubhouse morale is obviously high. The organization appears to be in very good hands. Lots to like in late May, gents.

Despite burning to a crisp (through my sunscreen, no less) this was the best game I've ever been to.

I won't lie, after a few hours of tailgating I was ready to leave in the middle of the first. Thank god I stayed and persevered through the pain.

I get what you mean, we got there 30 minutes before the lot opened and roughed it through the heat and no wind lol. We also sat 3rd base side, that didnt help. That top of the first was rough but had a feeling it would be a shootout, maybe not to this extent. Tomorrows game will be tough, but Chacin has been rolling. Weather looks possibly even warmer tomorrow too

Yeah, we were also 3rd base side. Our seats didn't get any shade until the middle of the 4th lol

Feel like we're in a good position right now. Really need to not lose the Cards series coming up.

I don't want to hear 'Cards' or 'Cubs' until those series are over. God damn, I hate how cursed we've been against those clubs. I WANT THE DIAMONDBACKS FOREVER!!!!!

It's amazing that to this day we still have people thinking Weeks was a bad hitter.

Yeah, if Arcia returns from AAA and turns into Weeks as a hitter along with the defensive skills he already has then they have a heck of a player for years to come

Good hitter who had a ton of trouble with sliders from righties. It was basically one pitch that was his nemesis.

If he was such a good hitter, then why didn't he hit good ?

Rickie's peak was incredible. It was relatively short however. He had some pretty lean years at the plate because of inconsistency and injury.

Not really. The wrist injuries he had made him unable to extend to foul off those pitches. He wasnt a bad hitter by any stretch. He covered that pitch quite well. Like we see with Braun now who has the exact same problem. The inability to fight off that pitch can turn good/great hitters impression.
