Wainwright is a decent hitter but how do you not pinch hit for him there? It became inconsequential with the pickoff but your season is [basically] down to the next 4.5 innings and you have a giant hill to climb.

A little life for the Cards but probably too little too late.

They'll still be in it with a loss today (barely) but could be eliminated tomorrow, which means they'd have nothing to play for on Sunday.
