That's good news. I know a one game WC series sucks but I'll take it over no playoffs. And I want it to be at MP.. The cards do have a better road record than home record though.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I agree, but I think the old format or some newer format makes some sense. The Brewers probably deserve to be in by today's standard (not the 2 team NL/AL playoff of way back when) but say the Brewers finish 4 or 5 games ahead of the Cards...I think it sucks that one bad inning can undo the fact that they were better than the Cards by a reasonable amount for 162 games.

The division is probably out of play anyways, but the D-Backs have a white flag lineup in there against the Cubs tonight. I think they've quit.

And the DBacks have a nice 4-0 lead. Unexpected

Cards have the Giants for 3, Brewers at home for 3 and then at the Cubs for 3. Giants have nothing to play for and the Cubs probably won't either. Cubs have White Sox (3), Pirates (4) and Cards (3).

Guys - please help to ease my nervous mind. Will Counsel start Wade Miley in our 1 game playoff game vs. the Cards!? God I hope so...

9-0 dbacks

All they needed to do was bench Goldschmidt, Escobar, Pollock and they're ready to make a run.

Depends on if we can clinch the playoff spot early enough. As is, unless we change up the rotation, he would have to pitch on 3 days rest.

Right now it's Chacin, but the starter will probably expected to pitch 2-3 innings. If they Brewers have a lead or the pitcher is going fine, then he will continue to earn more innings 1 at a time.

It will be interesting to see what their plan will be as far as multi inning relief work. I assume that they would pitch Jeffress, Hader, and Knebel in the playoff game. Hader will for sure be expected to get them 2 innings but do they also try to get 2 from Knebel and Jeffress? Both guys are capable of doing it especially if the brewers clinch early and they are fully rested.

Yeah they've positioned Chacin to start the first playoff game . All hands on deck of course. It would be nice if the Detroit series, or at least the last game or two, was meaningless. NL wild card game is Tuesday, AL is Wednesday.

I dislike the wildcard format... it would be heartbreaking to lose the wildcard game... Hope and pray the Brewers win the div.

Lopez for the ChiSox for real has been greats the last 30 days. Lets see if he can keep it up vs the Cubs.

White Sox have a 3-1 lead. I'm sure they won't blow this...
