I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Playing fantasy long enough, Tomlin was a guy that was on for stretches of time, I'm assuming due to a certain pitch working. Of course he was awful at times.
He's probably just a scrub back-end/depth guy but once again maybe they see something with him keeping the ball on the ground.
He could fill some sort of long relief/garbage role, I guess.

That would be pretty sweet. Lineup flexibility.MickeyDavis wrote:
I'm not to concerned about not getting a pitcher we have alot of guys to choose from.
Plus there is always the trade deadline and waiver pickups mid year.

Have to assume this is a minor league deal since he's been out of baseball for awhile, but a slightly interesting reclamation project if he's healthy and has his head on straight. He's still only 29.

I would've assumed he was playing independent ball but apparently he's just been completely away from baseball for two years. Can't hurt to take a look but can't see him making the roster.
Do it for Chuck

Certainly seems like they intend to give him a long leash to work his way back based on having an option in the deal.

Re: Brewers Offseason Discussion - Stearns Promoted/Extended Page 30
Having the DH in the NL will actually make those games longer. Instead of a pitcher making an out in 4-5 pitches, there will be some DH fouling off a dozen pitches. Pitchers these days only get 1 or 2 AB's per game anyway. If you want to speed up the game, call a batter out after 5 foul balls....

Wait, MD, are you seriously in favor of the pitcher hitting?
