Miller Park South was **** electric today, that was unbelievable by the Brewers fans that were able to get off of work and travel on short notice.

Lester will be tough to beat tomorrow but Freeland is pretty damn good.

But I'll never forget hugging strangers in the stands when the Brewers won. After the game everyone went to the lower level near the field to watch the Mets (I think that was the game/team? or was it the Giants) game end and the celebration when the final out happened. I think I'm even more euphoric tonight because of how it all went down, where it went down, and now having home field. Today is the best, up there with my favorite sports memories.

For me at least, baseball is special/unique compared to the other sports for fans because of all of the time you invest on a team in contention.

I probably watched parts of, or all of about 150 games the Brewers played this year and attended about ten. Most of those games feeling meaningful as it was clear that the team would contend for a playoff berth.

Baseball also creates a kind of tension that is both fun and brutal in games like today. When Rizzo initially hit that ball off Hader, my heart stopped mid-beat.

Yeah probably a vocal minority but there are some on here and every Brewers-related tweet is swimming with them in the replies.

I think the worst thing said about Counsell was that stretch of baffling bullpen management earlier in the year where people said he was just like every other manager.

I think you go Miley in game 1 for sure. He has earned it. I would pitch Chacin in game 2 (4 days rest) and then you have him for game 5 if needed as well...

That was stressful enough. How the **** are we supposed to win the world series without all of us dying from cardiac arrest?

Game 2 is Friday, Chacin would have 3 days rest. Of course that would set him up for game 5 on 4 days. Have to use 4 starters unless you want to pitch the game 1 starter in game 4 on 3 days rest.

Rockies going with Freeland (probably) tomorrow on 3 days.

For the NLDS, I'd start with
Game 1 - Miley
Game 2 - Gio
Game 3 - Chacin

I sure hope not. No manager is perfect all the time but show me somebody who doesn’t like Counsell and I’ll show you somebody who needs to be punched in the dick.

He was just like every other manager. Not perfect but if you don’t think other managers don’t trot out struggling relievers for a while until they are DFAed from time to time then you are too idealistic.

Most people wanted Knebel literally cut and he just won reliever of the month. It cuts both ways.

At least for me game 1 will be significantly lower stress level than today was. If we win game 1 then the same will apply to game 2. Clinching or elimination games all bets are off.

25 man is going to be fascinating. Assuming they go with 12 position players you have Pina, Kratz, Aguilar, Shaw, Arcia, Moose, Yelich, Cain, Braun, leaving 3 spots. Now you’re down to Granderson, Perez, Broxton, Santana and Schoop. I’ve been figuring you keep Granderson since he’s been playing well and has good experience. Perez has value with all the different positions he can play. Santana has looked good lately, Broxton fits a nice role. Could they actually leave Schoop off? If he actually gets hot he’d be dangerous, but he’s shown zero signs. Do you leave him off and one of Grandy/Broxton? Not sure I trust Santana though...

Tough one but I'd take the lefty Granderson over Schoop. Thames is a good guy, I like him but he's going to sit

The 25-man may depend on who wins tomorrow.

Granted, you may draw Hendricks x2 but obviously the lefty staff may cause you to bring more righties.

I might go 11 pitchers. We have enough multi-inning options where we don't need more than that with the off days built in. Although with Hader not being able to go back-to-back or the Brewers just trying to completely avoid doing that you might need another pitcher. If Hader pitches game 1, he's out for game 2. If he pitches game 2, he might not even be available for game 3 depending on how long he goes. So add Williams or Peralta and take out Schoop just for his lack of positional flexibility.

Miley
Chacin
Burnes
Woodruff
Knebel
Jeffress
Hader
Soria
Davies
Gonzalez
Guerra
Williams or Peralta

Kratz
Pina
Braun
Cain
Yelich
Santana
Shaw
Aguilar
Arcia
Moustakas
Thames
Perez

That's what I would go with.
