New thread starter with the streak over. Big game tomorrow night. Brewers/Packers double win.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Don't really care about the Packers tbh. All my attention will be on this game.

Looking for a rebound game here tonight. Avoided social media most of the weekend and ignored friends who wanted counsel fired and jeffers cut after saturday night. Brewer fan can be so stupid some time.

Managed to avoid my most annoying employee for the first 2+ hours of the day. One brief water cooler conversation later and I'm going through the various "how to get away with murder" scenarios in my mind. He quoted David Ortiz of all people. But, again, some folks are just wired this way. Expects the worst 100% of the time. Just doomin and gloomin his way through life. We haven't lost in damn near a month and he had the gall to say "the stage is too big for Counsell." I laughed, turned around, headed back to my office, and am now seriously thinking about firing him.

It's funny how fast the bandwagon emptied after one loss. We may not win this series but the chicken little's can GTFO.

Think this is a game where the bullpen has to reestablish its dominance. The Dodgers have no respect for the BP right now aside from Hader. If the Brewers want to win this series, gotta shake up the confidence of the Dodgers' hitters a little bit.

It was bad. had family members texting an hour after the game saying miley should have went the distance!!! and counsel doesn't know how to manage and jeffers is horrible and needs to be gone... JJ has been dominant all year and has struggled the last few games, i think he just needs to be put in low stress situations to get his stuff back. miley hasn't pitched more than 6 all year... counsel has pulled almost all the correct strings... why are people so manic when it comes to sports. its so irritating.

Counsell has been fine. Can't fault the Burnes move considering how good he's been.
The one move I questioned at the time and is suspect in hindsight was having jeffress go back out for the 8th. He'd just been through a stressful 7th and hasn't been that sharp so I questioned him having try to come back after sitting. With the heart of the order up I probably go knebel and if he had a quick inning have him go two or if it was a stressful inning then go soria for the 9th against the bottom of that order. I kind of wonder if soria getting hit the day before prompted this move.

They won 12 in a row. At some point you have to lose. It's not like they look over matched either. This series is going to come down to which team executes their plan with the least amount of errors. Stay loose and ready. I like their chances.

Yea major over reactions. I mean even me sometimes but before you type just take a few minutes to think about it. While Miley could've gone longer. I'm really upset at Burnes. Everyone was saying how our BP is tired and over - used. Well Burnes was very well rested. He didn't perform.
I think we won 96 games in the regular season and swept the Rockies because of CC staying consistent to what he does. And how he uses the SP vs BP.

For sure. And they simply need to hit and score when opportunities are there. This dodgers lineup is too good and deep to expect them to be quiet for a whole game.Iheartfootball wrote:They won 12 in a row. At some point you have to lose. Hopefully good Walker doesn't show up today. If he does he's as good as Kershaw usually is.

Jhoulys needs to bring it tonight like Miley did on Saturday. Can't afford to burn through the pen tonight.

Miley actually has gone more than 6 this year and it was against the dodgers

CC said Peralta will likely get some innings in LA, which makes sense with 3 straight games. I just worry that he's been sitting too long. Especially given he tends to start slow.
