Lots of fans that don't spend as much time as most here do analyzing players have heard "Dubon is batting .320 in Colorado Springs" or "San Antonio [with juiced ball]" from Rock that they think he's a stud.

What worries me is that it feels like we're stuck with Arcia for the foreseeable future. I'm pretty over Arcia at this point.

I could see them picking up a scrub like Freddy Galvis or something either in the next 10 minutes or in the offseason. Not extremely appealing, but they may add something.

Are we really not going to trade for a White Sox reliever this year?

What a wet fart of a trade deadline. Early deadline and only 8-10 sellers and everyone else trying to buy made basically nothing happen.

Wonder if Houston just took on most of the contract or ponied up some prospects. My guess would be the former.

Not that Cincy had a chance in hell but that devalues the Bauer trade even more. I know their playoff odds are probably like 2% at this point but if you trade for Bauer, you're now invalidating 25% of your control of him by selling the rest.

I guess they'll be all-in on 2020.

Astros PO rotation can now be Verlander, Greinke, Cole, and Miley (who has been strong this year). Jesus.

The plan is for Pomeranz to be slotted in the rotation until Chacin returns. His performance in these outings will be play it by ear, could stick in the rotation if he finds a groove. I have a source.

If they are going to get rid of the waiver deadline, they need to push this deadline back a couple of weeks.

He's been good out of the bullpen, terrible as a starter.

So this sounds legit.
