Our struggles on the road have been tough, but it's been so fun watching these guys just beat up on the division early in the season. This would be another great 2-1 split if we can get it.

Just like the good old days....tie or take the lead....then give the runs back the next inning.

The thing where Hader hides the ball until the last possible moment? Alex Wilson does the opposite.

I’m going to keep banging the drum of organizational failures to properly address the pitching this offseason. Let Derek Johnson walk. Didn’t stick to last year’s winning formula. And, are now relying on unproven players across the board in new roles and formerly struggling players to fill important ones. Granted, it’s early, but this staff is plain not good.

Last year's winning formula was probably not going to work again.

This has to be your favorite moment as a Brewers fan. Congrats on them having a rough patch.

I was not highly optimistic coming into this season (see the predictions thread, I'm one of the few picking no playoffs).

However, it had more to do with the fact that the NL is loaded and we got some luck last year. Thought some regression would be just enough to keep them down but oddly enough, the regression I expected was from Yelich's 2nd half and maybe some bullpen issues.

That said, I trust that they'll fix the pitching if it continues to be this big of a dumpster fire this year. If it is a true dumpster fire and we're way out of the playoffs by July, it will come next year. If they can hang on until the deadline, they'll find a way to do it this year. Will that be enough for the playoffs? I don't know. The easier schedule coming up in like a month will also be nice. And of course, I'm as concerned about the pitching as much as everyone else.

Good call, but:

1. We basically had this record at this point last season.

2.

I agree that there are some pretty severe warning signs here with the staff regardless and Shaw/Aguilar may be regressing to what some thought they were earlier in their careers...but I'd still say we need to R-E-L-A-X a bit.

Talk to me in June before I start panicking. This was a tough part of our schedule and we're reliant on a lot of unproven pitchers. I have significant concerns about our middle relief right now, but that's fixable if our starting rotation can find its mojo.

Didn't a lot of people say they'd be surprised if we got through April at .500???

Well, here we are.
