Gotta say, having checked in on the minor League clubs AAA is raking for the time being but all in all our minors suddenly look thin. Couple that with the weak a@@ job Stearns has done amassing an actual relief corps and I don't feel too good about the current Brewers. My how a year can change it all.

There isn't a lot of help if they need to call somebody up after Hiura. It is great that Tyrone Taylor has turned things around but don't feel real great if he is the callup when an OF gets injured. His best relief signings may have been minor league signings of Jay Jackson and Angel Perdomo.

Hiura is on an absolute tear right now. Another HR today, with 2 bb’s. He now has 9 bb’s to 8 k’s, I believe, over his last 50 plus AB’s. A huge progression from the early part of his season. His slash numbers are also elite right now .349/.405/1.185.

I wonder if they will be tempted to bring him up for the Cubs series to face all those lefties. Then just option him back down and wait an extra week past the projected super 2 date. Heck they could pick and choose some spots over the next month and still be fine from a service time perspective.

I guess the somewhat issue they could have is if he just killed it and played too well to send back. But that's seems like it would be a good problem and really even if he ended up a super 2 guy that's not the end of the world, just a little extra cash out of Marks pocket a few years from now.

I'd hope that Keston is among the next to sign one of the team friendly extensions that we've seen over the last few months.

I'm so freaking jacked about Hiura, this made my day. Is he expected to be in the lineup today?

Unless he's arriving late or something, I would guess he is. Shaw supposedly might be going to the IL and I'd imagine he's getting sent down if not so they usually just throw these guys into the fire.

Interesting thought. Weird to think about signing a player that hasn't made their MLB debut yet to an extension, but that would make sense.

They wouldn't call him up to sit on the bench. Hopefully, he lives up to the hype. The team could really use what he potentially provides right now.

There is no date to clear Super 2.

Yeah, to clarify, when I say that, the 'estimated' Super 2 date on Keston. I won't pretend to understand all the inner workings of it, but felt like if we waited until sometime in June we would absolutely know for certain he couldn't qualify or whatever it is...

Law:

28. Milwaukee Brewers: Kam Misner, OF, Missouri

The Brewers might be Lugo's floor. I heard them being in on Baty earlier this month, and they're a dark horse for Paris.
