Is there a reason the brewers have been starting at 640 when at home lately? They usually started at 7 except for maybe sat/Sunday games.

I think I had heard descriptions of some teams doing it as a good middle ground for families on weeknights.
6 PM is probably too early for people to get to the park from work. 7:05 or 7:10 gets late if you bring kids. Not totally certain on that but I think it plays in.

Very 2019 baseball thing going on here. Davies pulled at 53 pitches so that Braun can hopefully tie the game in the bottom of the 3rd.
Castillo comes out at 75. That one confuses me a bit more.

And also because he had given up six runs already.

Yeah that played in but generally given our long relief options, if Davies' spot in the lineup wasn't meaningful I'd have let him try to soak up 2-3 more innings. Off day tomorrow helps on all fronts.
Obviously the fact that he was lit up begets the fact that you have a key at bat in the 3rd inning and you sometimes will pull a pitcher early...but a guy that has pitched as well as Davies usually gets rope to try to right the ship and save you some innings most times.

Nice to see the offense wake up.
