PITCHER OPP
6/17 9:10PM Chacin Lucchesi
6/18 9:10PM Woodruff Strahm
6/19 2:40PM Davies Quantrill

To bad we didn't take care of business in SF. Cubs lost 3 out of 4 to the Dodgers. 1 game lead in the division.

Basically if the pitching didn't completely fall apart on Saturday we would be in a pretty good spot on this road trip heading into this series. Hopefully we can manage to snag 2 out of 3 here.

This umps strike zone has been all over the place, probably the worst I've seen all season. That is all for this game.

Keston Hiura anyone?

How many more games does he have to spend in the minors before "service time" becomes a non-issue?

At least Chacin got some of his mojo back.

Cain has been tough to watch lately. Last year, even when he wasn't locked in at the plate, his discipline and strike zone recognition was insanely good. That has gone out the window this year, he's been taking some awful cuts at pitches outside the zone.

He allowed 9 base runners in 4.2 innings and threw over 100 pitches.

I didn't say he was great, but he was still an improvement over what he was over the last few starts leading up to last night. His slider looked noticeably better after those struggles in the first inning - he fanned seven as well.

Good thing we brought Shaw back up seeing as he can't play against lefties.

Wow, the Missions are up 17-1 in the 4th inning, Hiura with 1 hit and 2 walks so far in the game.

After this game, the Missions will 20 games over .500, best record in the league. Wish the Brewers are performing like their AAA team.

Slump time of the year. Hopefully going back home for 10 helps but we have too many of these slumps every year.

Braun hitting behind Yelich is absolutely killing us right now.

And Aguilar's gotta go. Bye.

I'm ready to call up Freitas and Hiura to replace Aguilar and Shaw. Option Shaw to AAA.
