So disrespectful to Ronnie Belliard.

I've been watching with the volume off. Is this Bill Hall doing the color?

Yes. Also, Cubs are trash and don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

Yes, and hopefully this will be his last time doing color.

Travis Shaw. Batting .158 now. Stuck out looking on 3 pitches.

This is, well, awkward. I wonder what Jimmy Nelson did in the minors.

It's kind of sad watching Nelson. At this point might as well dfa him and clear a spot for salandino or someone who can actually help them these last couple weeks.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

crazy they are only two back. with a bunch of games vs crappy teams. of the last 20 games only 3 vs a team in playoff hunt (cards). crew need to get at least 3 against marlins.

Given that the team is completely void of dominant pitching other than Hader at this point and that we're looking towards a WC game against Max Scherzer with Strasburg or Corbin out of the bullpen, I am going to be completely OK with a consolation prize of just keeping the Cubs out of the Wild Card to the DBacks (!) or Phillies if we don't get it ourselves.

Nah, I'd honestly give the Brewers the upper hand in a playoff game against a top flight pitcher. For whatever reason, they perform well against great pitchers, and Counsell seems to just be an absolute mastermind with September/playoff roster management.
