So has Arcia but in the opposite way.

Counsell was asked last night if Spange could see time at SS, and he answered "yes" without any hesitation. I'd guess Spange moves to short fulltime-ish once Keston is back to full health.

So is Spangenberg a legit option at SS for when Hiura comes back? Really love what he has brought lately. I know he can play outfield too, maybe play him sometimes out there and sit Cain?

I just checked baseball reference and he has played only 3 games at SS his entire MLB career. Plus 16 games this year in the Minors. My guess is he can play there, he just hasn't been asked to much (Based off of CC's comments and MIL trying him at SS in the Minors).

Cards lose, Cubs lose, Brewers now only 2 games back for the division lead.

This Counsell guy...can we just close the book and call him a good manager yet?

FFS the guy deserves a damn medal! No Woodruff, Moustakas, or Hiura for weeks and you lose the reigning NL MVP!?!? World Series or not we should all be buying him a drink anytime we see him in public.

That has been the general consensus around here.

Yeah, I know...the negative voices are always louder from a handful on here or on twitter but most of this board gets it.

He’s human and has made a few mistakes like having Jeffress as a higher priority reliever for too many innings in last year’s playoffs, but he is arguably still the best matchup manager in the game and yet baseball fans baseball fan and call for his head every time something goes wrong.

Nah. Did you see yesterday he brought in Albers and guess what? He gave up a run! What an idiot!

The lefties keep getting out to the same pitch.
