Per Rosenthal.

Not really a fan given our general spending and what we'd have to surround him but I'll wait on the details.

Rodgers, Braun, Giannis and Yeli. Good times in WI. I wonder how many years. He still has 3 years left (2022 team option). I imagine some of the extension will replace some of the 3 remaining years.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If he remains good through age 32-33, this is somewhat worth it. You're backdating/overpaying a bit on the back end for that.

If anything goes wrong it could cripple the franchise for a while.

7 years.

The question is if it replaces the current deal or it's an extension.

Common wisdom tells me it just buys out the 7 years after this one or including this one. If tacked on to the end making it effectively 10 years...that's too much.

This better replace the current deal instead of being a straight extension. Guessing with deferred money too.

Yeah no way this extension starts in 2023. It will replace most/all of the 3 years left. Good thing Braun is off the books after this season.

Yeah, nine or more years. That would suck.

Thank God he signed that initial bad deal.....this is an absolute steal, he is just so important to this franchise.

I'm just completely amazed he wants to finish out his career here. This is a man who would have won back to back MVPs if not for that freak injury at the end of last season.

I'm ecstatic even if it ends up being a 9 or 10 year deal. Now the Bucks just need to lock in Giannis and Milwaukee sports will be set for YEARS.

Wow did not expect that. Need to see all the details before judging.

They had him signed cheap for likely his last 3 ultimate prime years.

They just agreed to pay him $200 million for 6-7 years where he may still be elite but probably will be some version of what Ryan Braun is.

A 9 year - 215 million deal seems light for a mvp caliber player when considering the Harper, Machado, Trout contracts.

They must be banking on some young pitchers figuring it out...and Braun coming off the books
only a fan, only an opinion
