It was a bad send even if Shaw wasn't slow as ****, too, lol.

Shaw has 20 SB and 4 CS during his career. So probably not super slow.

20 over a whole career is not a lot lol

Carlos Lee had 19 SB and 2 CS when he was 30. If we are using that as an indicator, think about how fast Carlos must have been.

I have had a weird feeling that Shaw is going to have a bounceback year for a while, so good to see a good game 1. If he has a season comparable to 2017/2018, that would be absolutely huge for them. He's about to turn 31, so not crazy old yet, so it's possible.

Peralta had some shaky moments but his stuff looks absolutely filthy. They have five pitchers with absolutely nasty stuff (Woodruff, Burnes, Peralta, Williams, Hader) and I am hoping we can throw Rasmussen into that list as well this year.

Should be a fun season.

Feyereisen has the potential to wrack up as many Ks as anyone. I could also see Perdomo mowing them down after replacing Yardley at some point this season. That bullpen is stacked with live arms.

Maybe the most under-talked about but most important part of the organization is this magic pitching lab they have. Whatever is going on there, the results have been incredible.

Shaw has never finished better than 342nd in sprint speed so I hope that was supposed to be sarcasm.

Great pitching and bad offense.

I texted my cousin in Minnesota like two seconds before Burnes gave that up. Jesus.
