Good start boys. Win this game/series with Yelich/Cain/Wong out.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Burnes' 98 mph cutter on the black is the most unfair thing I've ever seen in baseball.

I think Rizzo has the most punchable face across all sports for me. Little weasely child like face. He looks like his name would be Dewey.

Starting to think this Burnes guy might be good.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Yeah not a whole lot a hitter can do with that pitch other than hope he doesn't throw it again.

Urias has 10 walks in the last 5 games. He leads all of baseball with 12.

He hasn't looked good. In his first game he walked one and gave up an RBI triple, second game a homer. and a walk. Third game he walked two before getting out of it with a DP. I don't think he's hurt he just hasn't been good.
They mentioned something that he didn't pitch that much in spring training so they're basically trying to ramp him up during the regular season.

I can’t believe Randy Johnson isn’t also on that list

Randy Johnson played until 45 so Hall of Fame type pitchers get their numbers dragged down by their later years. Jose Fernandez will be on that list forever but everybody will be sliding down after they pass their prime.

Yeah that Adam McCalvey article explains it. Essentially they just want to get him work and don't want to worry about if its a high leverage situation or not. Just that they want to keep him "on schedule." Thats fine. I didn't care for the "he's struggling a little so lets baby him back in to high leverage situations" explanation. Which wasn't actually a thing. Just speculation.

Randy had a stretch from age 31-37 where he was above that 12k/9 mark every year. But zero times before 31 and zero times after 37. For a guy that played 22 years, that's a lot of years under that water mark.
