Brewers/DBacks Series
CC said the rotation may be "tweaked" for this series.
Thursday - 6:40 - Anderson vs. TBA
Friday - 7:10 - Peralta vs. Peacock
Saturday - 3:10 - Woodruff vs. Kelly
Sunday - 1:10 - Burnes vs. Smith

Saturday - 3:10 - Woodruff vs. Kelly

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Hitters aren't swinging at Williams' junk anymore. He walks them or serves up meatballs.

Re: Brewers/DBacks Series
Let’s hope SF holds on here vs. the Cubs.
*Disclaimer* - the Cubs are pretty good. They aren’t a 70 win team lucking out. But they now have seen a battered Dodgers team last month. They got the bottom of the Padres rotation and they were a bit beat up. Now they get a hollowed out by injury Giants lineup (who I am buying when healthy).

It'll be interesting to see how they do over the next few weeks. It's hard to make a buy/sell decision right now.

Barring a them **** up this easy stretch, I'm buying.
There are tons of flaws but you kinda have to keep going for it with this pitching rotation.
The upcoming schedule of this month is ridiculous. Cubs/Cards face some good teams and each other finally after some easy stretches. Brewers face **** teams basically the entire month of June even into July.
From now until the ASB, only the Cubs/Mets for 1 series each are series that we shouldn't win.

I’m not sure Counsell will give him the chance, given his pitch count

Great performance. Knew it was going to be tough with his PC but was hopeful nonetheless. Great game though - love Freddy.

Pretty sure if the pitcher tried harder he'd have gotten Vogelbach out?

Re: Brewers/DBacks Series
Beating up on bad teams is what you need to do. We have a bunch more games against them this month,

Re: Brewers/DBacks Series
The season is soooo long. It's hard to take much from a stretch against the best of baseball...just like it'll be hard to take much from this stretch against the worst.
I agree that the team as constructed, should be better offensively. That doesn't mean great or even good obviously but definitely better. It is a shame that our Hiura got broken.

If they were .500 or better you always had to buy. The Brewers have a special front end of the rotation, closer, and some solid foundational pieces in the lineup. There's just a number of holes, weak spots in places that are easy to fill (1B), and some hitters are really underachieving.
Their problems are very fixable. The tough part is taken care of. If they can get in the playoffs, this is the best shot they've had of going all the way in my lifetime. You can't throw that opportunity away.

It wasn't even the losing (though it doesn't help, obviously). It was just how utterly hapless they looked at the plate.
