So after we clinch the division do we space out the starters starts more? Or keep them on regular schedule but lower pitch count? Clinching a few weeks before the season gives the advantage of not having to grinding your pitchers into the ground but I’m curious how they handle that.

That's going to be interesting. You don't want to give starting pitchers too much time off. There will already be 4 off days between the end of the season and game 1 of the NLDS. What will also be interesting is if the final series against the Dodgers is still meaningful to them and how do we approach it. Guys who have been banged up, Avi, Cain, Adames, may sit that weekend. Who knows. I'd love to keep the Dodgers in the wild card and the chance they get booted in that one game. Although that would mean the Cards or Reds advance.

I assume go back to a 6 man rotation when Anderson can pitch, regardless of off days.

A slump itself doesn't bother me, it happens in a long season. But it pisses me off it's against the Cards. Need to win these last 2. Tomorrow will be tough vs. Wainwright but we're making every pitcher look like Cy Young.

Likely a bullpen game today. I would expect Ashby to follow Anderson.

I had hoped to keep the Cards out of the playoffs. Knowing the history of that stupid franchise they will pummel the Dodgers and Giants and I will not even watch the NLCS because we know that Happ and Lester will throw perfect games or something.
