Both teams are 2-4. The Reds are coming off 2 consecutive 1-0 losses. Crazy.
Thursday - 6:40 - Cortez vs. Lodolo
Friday - 7:10 - TBA vs. Martinez
Saturday - 6:10 - Rodriguez vs. Singer (FS1)
Sunday - 1:10 - Patrick vs. Spiers

It would be so classic of the modern Brewers to get to 4-4 while being oustcored by literally 3 runs per game.
Then split the last two games of the series with a 2-1 win and a 15-run loss in which multiple position players take the mound.

Really not looking forward to the damage EDLC is going to do this series.

We continue to make getting guys in from 3rd with less than 2 outs look incredibly difficult.

Yelich and Contreras been pretty poor to start the season. Hopefully both get going soon.

Counts the same as a 10-0 drubbing in the standings. I'll take it!

1-0 loss 3 games in a row for the Reds. That's a shame

Winning is more fun than losing
Great to see Cortes have a really nice bounce back start

I definitely feel alot better today than I did Tuesday morning. We’ll see what these next couple games bring with unestablished guys on the mound. Reds due for a major breakout too. Hopefully can find a way to win the weekend and come out of it with a 500 record.

If we can get out of this month even a game or two under .500 I'll consider that a huge win. We're still multiple weeks away from having anything resembling our intended starting rotation and our offense has been terrible.

I think the upshot for the team this year is that Chourio becomes a star, Yelich is still good enough, Mitchell takes a step forward, Hoskins looks like he did in spring now over a year back in past his ACL recovery. Some of these things are far from guarantees, of course. That would be the best case scenario.
We know the pitching (once healthy) and defense will be there. If only this and a few of the bat contingencies are true, as long as they hold strong through these injuries they could make some shrewd offensive moves at the deadline for a bigger bat at 3B or whatever helps them to once again try to make their way from a lukewarm playoff team, I guess.

To me, the season comes down to some of the higher ceiling starters (Hall, Woodruff) coming back and pitching well. Maybe throw Logan Henderson in there. I do not believe that the team with this current rotation (or something similar) will make the playoffs. Getting Miso/Yoho into the pen and dominating would also be a big boost.

Those guys would help.
I do think their current rotation + defense + bullpen + Brewers pitching lab if Myers, Civale, Quintana are all back in short order are probably good enough to sneak them into the bottom of the playoffs. Hall, Woodruff, the young bullpen guys stepping up would raise the ceiling for sure.
