Brewers/Giants Series

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Apr 20, 2025 9:42 pm

Monday 8:45 - Priester vs. Ray
Tuesday 8:45 - Quintana vs. Hicks
Wednesday 8:45 - Peralta vs.Webb
Thursday 2:45 - Patrick vs. Roupp
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Thursday is reportedly Myers making his season debut
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Small sample size and maybe they fall off but if Priester, Henderson and Patrick continue to perform plus Peralta and Quintana and then you add in Tobias and Woody. Plus Civale. The rotation is going to be very interesting.

They will certainly fall off. If they can be reliable 3/4 types this year, that's pretty frickin amazing though.

Yep, some will overperform, some underperform, but I think your grade of a group of 3/4 starters is spot on. And that might be okay with great defense and a competent lineup.

Injuries can always change things, and it's a long season, but I like the team's makeup. Fun group to watch.

*sidenote, I don't have OTA or TV subscription but have a MLB.tv subscription and because I'm in the bay area can't watch any of these games (or the A's as well). Straight bull.

I feel like there may be piggyback combos here when most are healthy. Priester/Woodruff. Tobias doesn't always go too deep into games, he's a classic "numbers get worse 3rd time through the order" guy, so maybe Patrick or Henderson conserve some innings and go up/down from AAA and pick up some middle innings work.

I have no idea if Nestor is coming back...feels ominous. He's another name in the mix.

I feel like DL Hall may be cooked via yet another injury, but he is still a guy I have very high hopes for as a 1-2 inning relief guy if they finally give up on him starting.

A lefty I played with had a brilliant pickoff. He'd use a really bad, really deliberate pickoff early in the game. We'd all joke from the dugout and say, "Watch this..." and almost immediately after he'd use his good pickoff and get a guy at first. Literally just happened to Chourio.
