Win streak is over, we're done with the Cubs, let's get back to winning series. Giants are going nowhere but have some good pitching.
Return of Willy.
Uecker weekend.
Friday - 7:10 - Quintana vs. Whisenhunt
Saturday - 6:10 - Peralta vs. Webb
Sunday - 1:10 - Woodruff vs. Ray

I wonder if Selig is going to make an appearance. He's 91 and I don't recall seeing him around for quite awhile. He was very close to Uecker.
I imagine we see former players going back to the beginning of the franchise. Probably a lot of booth visits.
Starts at 12:15 on Sunday. It will be broadcast.

Going to need some deep outings. Or a Carlos Rodriguez 4 IP pen type of game. Our pen is gassed entering this series

This is Whisenhunt's 4th career start. He's been shaky. Jump on him early.
I'm guessing Ortiz to the IL. Hammy's don't heal quickly.

Not exactly a position of depth. Monasterio is about it as don’t see Turang moving. All the exciting prospects are AA or lower, right?

Winning streak over, Cubs series behind us, it would be easy to have a letdown. 34 games left, need to keep the pedal down. Hopefully Chourio doesn't have a setback and returns next weekend.

Even after having eliminated the one game play-in thing, MLB has a lousy playoff structure. Playing 162 to get into a best-of-three seems a little out of proportion. The bye is really important, obviously, and that should be the main goal for these last 34.

MLB Playoff system is the worst in all of sports. The 3 game wildcard series is a total joke. MLB won't ever do it but they should go back to 4 teams in both leagues. How many people are really watching those 3pm first pitch wildcard games.
Not being the 1 or 2 seed would be a total collapse for this team considering the lead theyve had for it

We can add 2 on September 1. Hoskins and Chourio I assume. When Ortiz comes back it would be for Bauers, Lockridge or Seigler I guess.

Just went 4-4 in 7 days on the road during the toughest month on the schedule against, IMO, two of the five toughest opponents in the NL, and we all feel like they're in a slump.

Goes to show how insanely good they've been since sweeping the Dodgers before the all-star break.
ETA: Since losing a rubber game to Atlanta on June 11th, the Brewers have lost 3 series, tied 1 series (the 3-gamer with a rainout against the Cubs), and won 15 series, with 8 sweeps. They have not been swept since March.
