Brewers/Phillies Series
Split series against another division leader. This is huge, we are currently 5 games ahead of them (Phillies play tonight).
Monday - 3:10 - Misiorowski vs. Walker
Tuesday - MUCH NEEDED DAY OFF
Wednesday - 6:40 - Quintana vs. Nola
Thursday - 3:10 - Peralta vs. Suarez
We can add a position player and pitcher tomorrow. Ortiz will be activated. Probably Hoskins. So someone will have to go. No idea what they will do with pitching.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We should wear Mets colours and see if it spooks them a bit.

Re: Brewers/Phillies Series
Roster decisions will be interesting. I have a feeling it won't just be about talent, but also about filling roles. Hoskins seems redundant with Vaughn, and it's hard to see a path to regular PA's for him. Monasterio is important as the best defensive backup all over the infield, and he's been hitting lately. I have him slightly ahead of Durbin in importance. Seigler and Bauers aren't good, but besides Brice, they're the only LHB's on the team that can play anywhere but OF.
Pitching, I'm not even going to venture a guess. They make surprising decisions that prove eerily prescient on a regular basis, as if they know who's going to pitch well based on laboratory observations that have nothing to do with pedigree or recent performance.

It feels like guys foul a ton of Misiorowki's 2-strike pitches off, which is a big reason for his pitch count rising so quickly.

Need to shut it down now. Come on Mis. Can't let the bottom of the order do damage

Re: Brewers/Phillies Series
Unpopular opinion. The Brewers would be wise to shop Miz in the offseason.

Would you trust him in a high leverage situation? Because I sure as hell wouldn't.

Comes in for a couple innings and blows guys away. You know pretty quickly whether he's going to have it for the appearance and if he doesn't you yank him after the third batter.

Better for him to do that as a starter. Maybe he gives you three innings, maybe he gives you five. But it's more than he'd give you as a reliever and you aren't risking him coming in and blowing a lead at the end of the game.
