Vargas can not have a terrible outing like he did in his first relief appearance. We also need to HIT WITH RISP!! We stranded 9 men on base in Game 1 and that can not happen again if we are going to win. Hall needs to catch the ball out there in CF and Fielder needs to get it going. Go Brewers!!

If they can't beat Henricus Vanden Hurk, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my life!

That probably means he will have a great game against us. It always seems like whenever we face these pitchers with no major league experience, we have no scouting report whatsoever and we get killed. At least thats how last year went by my recollection.

Van den Hurk will be the fifth Dutchie who will play in the MLB. The righthander gets his chance due to an injury to the other pitcher, Ricky Nolasco. His debut is a lot sooner than expected. He never played on a higher level than Class A in the minor leagues, which is remarkable for an MLB debutant.

But yeah, like others have already pointed out: history indicates we struggle against fresh meat in the majors.

Well Vargas got 3 strikeouts but allowed a run. Their pitcher has 3 strikeouts and hasnt allowed any. He actually doesnt look to bad. Especially for being 21.

that kid has a pretty nice curveball.breaking ball.

5 strikeouts in 2 innings for that kid.. hopefully since we dont really have a scouting report.. once we get through the order our hitters start seeing the ball better.. otherwise its going to be a long night.

alright now we needs some runs.. Fifth string pitcher on our team cant pitch much better through 3 innings.

Well, I'm assuming that this game is over. I'm just glad that stupid mistakes didn't cost us this game. How Prince lets a weak little ground ball get through him is beyond me. It is amazing how those little things can cost you a chance at a win.

Also the fact that they left 8 guys on base again tonight. If there was once concern I had heading into the season, besides injuries, was the inability to get runs across with guys on base. This has proven to be a killer in many games so far.

Bill Hall as our cleanup hitter right now is an absolute joke. There is nothing else to say about it. He needs to stop trying to hit a homerun everytime up and just worry about getting guys in!
