I don't think he's horrible. I just don't think he's a 3-hole type hitter. Put him in the 5 spot behind Billy.
Ned Yost is really beginning to upset me with some of his decision making.
I don't understand why in the hell we gave Counsell a 2 year $4 million deal. He's never been a good hitter. I'd have rather pursued someone else to play 3rd. Graffy and Counsell haven't been very good for us this year. I guess I'm just getting frustrated with giving the opposition free outs at the 8th spot.

It's cool that it's in a neighborhood and the area surrounding Wrigley is a great atmosphere. But inside it's horrible. It's a smaller County Stadium. Posts in the way, dirty, smelly. And just because it's smaller doesn't mean the seats are closer to the action. They aren't any closer than any other park.
or
Babe Ruth's "called shot," when Ruth allegedly pointed to a bleacher location during Game 3 of the 1932 World Series ... Ruth then hit Charlie Root's next pitch for a homer.
Gabby Hartnett's famous "Homer in the Gloamin' " September 28, 1938, vs. Pittsburgh's Mace Brown.
the great May 2, 1917, pitching duel between Jim "Hippo" Vaughn and the Reds' Fred Toney ... both Vaughn and Toney threw no-hitters for 9.0 innings before Cincinnati's Jim Thorpe (of Olympic fame) drove in the only run in the 10th inning ... Toney finished with a no-hitter.
Ernie Banks' 500th career home run May 12, 1970, vs. Atlanta's Pat Jarvis.
Pete Rose's 4,191st career hit, which tied him with Ty Cobb for the most hits in baseball history ... Rose singled off Reggie Patterson September 8, 1985.
Kerry Wood's 20-strikeout affair in 1998.
Sammy Sosa's 60th home runs in 1998, 1999 and 2001.
the 1947, 1962 and 1990 All-Star Games.

Well, even though he did jack one, he's 1-4 today. So .250 in the 3-hole lol. But I'll take the jack anyday. Now if only we could figure out how to hit HRs with people on base...

Is it me or does it seem like Villa is having a problem embracing the relief role???

Anybody know how close the Fielder flyout was to a HR? I'm watching the game on MLB Gameday
