It'll be interesting to see how the Cardinals come out and play after the death of Hancock today.

I figure they whoop us or get whooped by us depending on how they channel the emotions. Of course Suppan probably knew him well to so it will be interesting to see how he pitches as well.

Braden Looper will not start tomorrow night, Kip Wells will. Looper was really, really good friends with Hancock, and is taking the night off. He will pitch on Tuesday however.

Kip Wells isn't that good so I think we have a good chance. I'm going to this game and it'll be really tough for the cards to play after the death of their pitcher/friend. Hopefully it is a good baseball game. Go Brewers.

didn't kip wells kick our ass for the pirates last year or some other year? or was that someone else. i know we beat him already though this year.

no, he did not....in fact he only beat us twice in the last four years out of a dozen or so games...in '02 he ate us alive though.

Interesting stat...the Brewers are 13-0 when leading after 7 innings.
Turnbow+Cordero = lights out.

They've been sicker than sick. T-Bow has 21 K's in only 12.1 IP and Cordero leads baseball with 10 saves, no ER, and has given up only 2 hits in 11.1 IP.
How big is that Lee trade now with Cordero being completely dominant, Mench destoying lefties (allowing Jenks to destroy against righties), and Nelson Cruz proving to be a AAAA player?

Question?
Will this game be blacked out even though the game isn't on local tv.

This is a huge ten game homestand. I'm not really sure what to expect out of the Cards given the recent tragedy and the Pirates have been playing decent baseball as of late. There is no reason not to sweep the lowly Nationals.
I think anything less than 7 wins will be disappointing. Maybe 6 at minimum.

Big game tonight that starts off a HUGE important homestand. Were in the stretch of playing NL Central teams and we can extend our lead even more now. The way our Pitching staff is going if they give us any lead into the 8th its almost over. Hall and Weeks have hit cold streaks but hopefully the can turn it around at home. Lets start it off with a Suppan win

I hope not because Erin Andrews will be on the field.

I don't think this game will be blocked out as it is listed on jsonline.com as on ESPN. We need to get Hall and Weeks on board here. It is fascinating that we have allowed more runs than we have scored so far though (113 to 110). I guess it is because when we lose, we release the flood gates for runs, (3-9, 2-10, 5-11, 1-10). One hour to go...

Maybe they are just resting him like they did with Hall?

Prince leaves the yard. Crew up 4-1. Suppan pitching solid again.
