Non Baseball thoughts Brewers vs Pirtates 5/4/07

This was my first game of the year, and wow things are different. The crowd was one of the best I have been to in a long time. The slow then fast wave was really fun; I have never seen that before.

Not sure if anyone else saw this or not. Fielder thought he was going to be the cut off man so he dove for a ball that wasn't even close to him and completely missed. Really funny stuff. The rest of the in he had a big smile on his face. Rickey was giving him crap between pitches.

A really hot drunk girl behind us was complaining that her phone was broken, so I turned around and said I could fix it. So, I just took the phone and put my number in it and told her to call me. 8)

I really love when people have the beach balls and hit them around. As soon as they come out you can just see the ushers franticly run after the ball.

There was a kid that flipped off the camera, and as soon as the camera go off of him 2 cops escorted him away.

The 2 bad parts of the night is because of all the bandwagon fans is that the traffic was horrific. Getting into Miller was hell. The other bad part was we couldn't fund any scalpers. Back when we sucked they were around every where wheeling and dealing, I guess I am going to be paying a little bit more for my tickets. I guess thats the price you pay when the team is good.

If you feel like paying the extra money for preferred parking you will get out much quicker. I have gone to 2 games with 40,000+ fans and been out of the parking lot and on my way home within ten minutes of getting into my car.

Yeah that's what I do for big crowds and I'm doing it tonight. It's $15 but well worth it IMO. Unless you are sitting out in the bleachers. Last game I was between home and third, stayed until the final out and was in my car and out of the parking lot in 10 minutes.

I left at the top of the 9th and got out the of the general parking lot pretty fast since I took Canal St. I started tailgating at like 4:30 so I got into the parking lot very quickly. My mind was off the game a lot since two chicks in front of us were making out the whole game for their boyfriends.

I was surprised because I usually park in General Parking in the Giants lot off of Blue Mound and it was hell getting out. It's usually really simple, just go to Wisconsin Ave. But it took us a good 20 minutes.

But I also like preferred parking as well. With its location you wouldn't think you could get out so quickly, but it goes by really smoothly.

But for actually the game, yeah it was crazy loud and I was in the last row in 423. Prince diving for that relay throw was classic. The slow/fast/reverse wave showed up again, although it worked better at the Angels-Indians game, and came to a screeching halt when Fielder jacked his home run.

As I mentioned in another thread, we had a bus trip down there last night. Good time. Lots of beer consumed...so the game itself was a little hazy, but great atmosphere. It helps having a first place team. But I love the fact there was 40,000 there and its still really easy to get around (not talking about parking), not horribly long lines, comfortable, etc. Miller Park is really an awesome place. I like County Stadium from a nostagia standpoint, but its nice having a top tier stadium (even if its 6 years old already...). The slow wave was pretty cool.

I agree, even with 40,000+ it's not too crazy inside, lines are not long at all.

Because popcorn at the stadium is so 1962.

Yeah. That boxed popcorn was never really appealing.

Get the Nachos man. You wont regret it. Its defintly the best thing there. Anybody try the new Chorizo sausage yet. I love that stuff but have not tried it on a bun at Miller Park yet.

The Cactus League Nachos, not the stuff at the concession stands. And I didn't think the stands had the Chorizo.
