Barry Bonds
dont jump on me for starting a topic on Barry, but he has been ice cold lately, he is 10 away from breaking Aaron's record....and the Giants play in Milwaukee from the 18th-20th, if he starts to heat up, he might break the record in Milwaukee, which would be very interesting....Selig and Aaron were both at one time involved with the Brewers/Braves franchise................anybody thinking about getting tickets for that series?

I completely agree, however, if Bonds does start to heat up, and he is within 1 or 2 of the record by the time he gets here, will the Giants really sacrifice winning (Bonds getting on base half the time he gets up to the plate) for Bonds hitting the home run? Probably, but I think for Bonds' sake, it would be better for him to hit it in Milwaukee. There arent a lot of true Bonds haters in Milwaukee, compared to the amount in California-where people will go to the games to boo Barry. But it would be interesting to see Bonds hit the record-breaker at home against the Yankees, the series following Giants-Brewers.

I've got tickets already. I really, really hope I get that record breaking ball if he hits it here. He'll never see it again in his life, unless he's willing to deal over no less than half of his inflated contract for this year.
So yeah, I'd be expecting to keep it, or sell it to somebody else willing to pay major $$$.

When I looked at the schedule at the beginning of the season I made sure to find the Giants games and the home ones really stood out. I don't think he'll be able to unless he goes on a tear. However, if Bonds could actually choose where NOT to hit 756, Atlanta would be #1, and I would think Milwaukee would be #2 or #3. As bad as it looks for baseball to begin with, it would look even worse if he did it in Atlanta or Milwaukee
