Deep in the heart of Texas....
Milwaukee Brewers (33-27, 1st Place NL Central)

@
Texas Rangers (21-39, last place, AL West)
Pitching Matchup:
Chris Capuano 5-4, 3.80
Vs.
Robinson Tejeda, 4-6, 6.28
Brewers Probable Lineup:
RF Corey Hart
SS JJ Hardy
3B Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
LF Geoff Jenkins
C Johnny Estrada
CF Bill Hall
2B Craig Counsell
DH Tony Gwynn, Jr
Rangers Probable Lineup:
CF Kenny Lofton
SS Michael Young
1B Mark Teixiera
DH Sammmmmii Sosa
LF Frank Catalanotto
RF Marlon Byrd
2B Ian Kinsler
C Gerald Laird
3B Jerry Hariston
First game with a DH, gonna be a lefty, but will it be Gwynn? Gross? your mom? Also, I'm hoping to move Estrada down, so I put it like that here. This is a bad team we are playing, and we need to get this road trip off on the right trip. Things will only get harder when we leave Arlington, so we need a series victory, for many more reasons than that as well. Looking at the splits against Tejeda, we have three guys with a total of 6 AB's against him, so I'd look for us to get 2 hits and no runs tonight

I really hope Gross is the DH however if Gwynn does start it'd be stupid not to put him in CF. His biggest asset is defense might as well let him field.

Hey I never agreed with it. If it was my choice I'd put Hall in CF and Gross at DH.

How about Braun DH and Counsell 3B? I don't support that move, but it is a possibility.

I'm surprised Mench didn't get the complimentary start against his former mates.

Cubs, Cards and 'Stros all winning, while Texas is wiping their ass with us.

Wow, Hart with a 2 run dinger, Braun with a 2 run dinger, down 7-6 with Fielder up.
Memo to person who does graphics for FSN. 4+2 does not equal 7.

We's probably have a couple more wins if Melvin called Braun up earlier.

Why was Gross our DH tonight? Gotta get that .211 BA in the lineup. Or you could start Gwynn in center and DH Hall. I don't get Yost's man crush on Gabe Gross.

Well if we continue to lose series after series we probably won't have to worry about Yost's man crushes much past July. Cubs and Cardinals both now at 5 games behind us, at some point one of them is bound to catch us. There's no way we hold on if our current negative spiral (7 of 8 series losses) continues. Yost's judgment could come if Attanasio sees things slipping away.

It becomes easier to understand when you start to think about his past man crushes on Turnbow, Wise, Shouse, Counsell, and Graffanino (to name only a few).
