Brewers Probable Lineup:

Who cares? They're not going to score more than 3 runs anyways.

Rangers Probable Lineup:

A bunch of scrubs/washed up players who will put up at least 10 runs.

Location: The Ballpark in Arlington near Dallas, in Texas, that big state that borders Mexico with the panhandle that has a city in it that sounds kind of like Armadillo.

-Doug Melvin used to be GM for the Rangers. You think he'd take that job back now?

-The Brewers have a chance of getting swept by the team with the worst record in baseball yet we're still in first place. Simply pathetic.

-Ned Yost semi called out the pitching staff earlier in the day by saying they gave up too many runs. I wonder how much money he took from the offense to not say anything.

-I'd kind of like to see the Brewers send a private jet down to Houston to get George and Barbara Bush. Mainly George because I want to see him pitch.

-If I see one more infield shift when it's completely unnecessary I'm going to kick Yost in the balls.

Due to off days on Thursday and Monday Yost decided to skip one pitcher to keep the others on their regular days rest.

So who do you skip?

Bush 3-6, 5.67 ERA, Brewers are 3-9 in games he starts.

Vargas 4-1, 4.01 ERA, Brewers are 9-3 in games he starts.

Yost benched Vargas, starts Bush.

I don't mind that move. Vargas gives up way too many baserunners for that ERA of 4 to continue and he can rarely get through the 6th inning.

And Bush Doesn't....Bush is by far the most troubled pitcher on the staff. I say we trade him, mench and counsell for 2 beers and a bag of peanuts.

So lets be honest here and not leave out all the facts, and they both have 55 strikeouts but bush has thrown 14 more innings.

So please explain to me your crush on BOOOSH. Granted he did pitch good in his last outing, SO I would still like to see him get a couple more trys but Vargas was definetly the better option for today.

Well Said, All I know is that These kids are playing way to tight and way to nervous. I can't imagine how they would play in a playoff situation...kinda scary.

Yeah that's a pretty big difference. Usually a pitcher is in the 1.25 range for WHIP, 1.5 is pretty bad and if your ERA is that low with a 1.5 WHIP you're getting lucky.

Yeah if Ned knew when to pull Bush when he's on the verge of giving up a big inning his ERA would be lower. He's also had bullpen blowups as well (The Turnbow game in Philly, the Atlanta game.) So that could (and should be) at least a 5-4 record. And Bush can also go more than 6 innings unlike Vargas. Also in Vargas' starts the Brewers have scored an average of 4.91 runs per game in Bush's starts 3.75 runs per game.

So lets be honest here and not leave out all the facts, and they both have 55 strikeouts but bush has thrown 14 more innings.

The more concerning thing should be Vargas having 11 more walks in 14 less innings. But if you expect that 4 ERA to keep up you're going to be pretty disappointed.

I don't have a crush on Bush. I just expect the numbers between Vargas and Bush to even out and he did pitch well last year as a starter with a 4.25 ERA and 1.12 WHIP.

I just want to win.

We can all pick out certain stats to back up our reasoning. The bottom line is the Brewers have won more when Vargas pitches. A lot more. It doesn't really matter why.

But since Bush is pitching, he sure as hell better not be pitching in the seventh inning, even if he has a no hitter going.

Damn, now Fielder is sucking. I know every player has slumps but we are in trouble now.

First and third, nobody out and no runs. Then Bush commits an error and we are already losing.

I remember when this guy was said to be a darkhorse candidate for the Cy Young this year. Those predictions were definitely right on!

Gonna get swept by the Texas Rangers. Awesome.

Not to mention the pitchers we faced were a combined 10-18 with a 6.36 ERA
