I hope Gallardo dominates so when Cappy comes back he can take Bush's spot in the rotation instead of demoting Gallardo.

Happy for Gallardo but it really sucks having to lose Cappy.

Wish it could be Bush but it looks like he will make his debut Monday night at home against the Giants.

Sucks for Cappy, but this could mean he's up for good provided he pitches well. I would imagine he'll start instead of CV on Monday -- even though CV definitely deserves it -- just because Gallardo is more stretched out and used to pitching starter level pitch counts.

He is getting the start according to that link. At least I think that's what it said.

Now they can move Parra up to AAA and Inman up to AA. Should be nice to see those other guys grow. Inman must be getting bored with his 1.76 ERA.

If Gallardo pans out, we're in pretty good shape once Cappy gets back.
This might be dramatic, but what about;
Sheets
Supan
Capuano
Gallardo
Villanueva
as our starters and:
Bush/Vargas - middle relief
Wise - set up
Cordero - closer
On our bad nights, we'll get Turnbow, Capellan and Spurling work.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Lets keep the kids rolling up hill. That new kid was a college pitcher and they say he is pretty advanced. Once he is signed, I wonder if they throw him right into A ball.

^Which new kid?

Oops I had a brain fart, he was a 1b
Matt LaPorta
The nice thing about taking LaPorta as a developed college guy is that he could suddenly have some trade value down the road. LaPorta is a well-developed college hitter with good strength. He makes consistently hard contact and gets good extension through the ball. He is for the most part a finished product who should get through the minor leagues very quickly, but may have limited upside. He should be an everyday first baseman early in his major league career, although Prince Fielder looks to be the Brewers' first baseman of both now and the future. He figures to be a Greg Colbrunn/Scott Hatteberg type player.

Since Villy pitched yesterday, if they need a long reliever over the weekend they may have to use Gallardo and then Villy gets the start Monday, otherwise it's Gallardo vs. Giants. I'm going.

Why would you take Turnbow out of the set up role?

You're kidding, right?? Turnbow has been very good this year.

I just feel like no lead is safe with Turbow. He is a gas can just waiting to explode.
Wise does a good job every time I watch him pitch. Turnbow blows it every time I watch him pitch. I only watch about 2 games per week so maybe I'm catching turnblow on his bad days.
