Astros at Brewers - 6/25/07

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Jun 25, 2007 6:58 pm

I know I'm not in the game thread rotation but we're 5 hours away so I'm going to start this one. Sorry I don't have time for graphics.

Sheets pitching tonight, he could secure an all-star spot with another solid outing.

'Stros have been disappointing but have a history of turning things around under Garner.

Every division game is huge.

7:05 first pitch. FSNWI.

This game is in HD.

I agree. It's a shame that people think he doesn't deserve it because his K's are a little down.

I mean, he has a 3.19 ERA, and only 20 walks. Again, the 65 K's are slightly down, but he'll get it going in that category. Regardless, Sheets deserves a spot.

He gets to 9 wins and lowers his ERA under 3 and he's in. What's going against him is the every team gets a player on the team (and the NL has 2 more teams than the AL). Coco faltering of late and Hardy missing action with an injury will hurt their changes (and help Sheets).

I've always thought it was a STUPID rule to reward home field in the World Series based on the all-star game instead of rewarding the team with the best record. But at least this year we'll have an interest in the outcome.

Crag Biggio might get his 3000th hit in Milwaukee, that would be awesome.

so this is not the first time i've got skipped like this...we agreed that we should have it up 2 hours prior at the least. if you guys (md) want it to be up sooner than that, we should change that. no offense to anyone, i'd just like to get my threads in too

Didn't mean to jump the gun and yes we did say 2 hours but I think we need to make that a larger window. People like to talk about the nights game throughout the day.

Of course you do have a losing record, so skipping your turn in the rotation may be the right thing to do.

Coco is basically still a lock at this point. Look at the save total and the ERA. That big lead in SV's over everyone but Valverde is huge.

Its very possibly Hardy won't make it given the play of the SS's in the NL, but JJ does lead them all in HR's and RBI which always helps. If he can go on a little tear here it would help.

I have no idea with Sheets. There are a lot of starters having good years. Another great start and a win could push him in.

At this point, Prince and Coco are basically locks. It will be interesting to see if one of Sheets or JJ sneaks in.

Anyone else thinking Corey Hart could some day become a 40/40 guy?

Jenkins getting the steal and losing his balance and falling off the bag and getting called out

At least it seems like anyone can run on this guy.

He is really balding I noticed too. I didn't know that.
