OT: Cubs Imploding

Post#1 » by DigitalFool » Tue Jun 26, 2007 3:23 am

I admit I'm guilty of scoreboard watching -

Cubs up 8-3 in the 9th at home - they have given up 6 runs and no outs yet... 9-8 Rockies right now.

Colorado Inning Summary

- K. Matsui singled to right
- M. Holliday walked, K. Matsui to second
- T. Helton doubled to deep left, K. Matsui scored, M. Holliday to third
- B. Howry relieved S. Eyre
- G. Atkins singled to left, M. Holliday scored, T. Helton to third
- B. Hawpe singled to right, T. Helton scored, G. Atkins to second
- T. Tulowitzki homered to deep center, B. Hawpe and G. Atkins scored

Eh, I don't think there was any jinx on my part. I said the Cub's were 'imploding' not 'imploded' insuating a loss. They were indeed imploding giving up 6 runs in the ninth.

Can't wait for this weekend's series - go Brewers!
