The other thread was telling people to vote. But okay.

This is fantastic and surprising. With the "every team gets one guy" rule I thought we would get 3.

I also thought we would get 3 with Co Co and Hardy being the question marks. No arguments here though.

It will be ineteresting to see how our young guys respond to being in the All Star Game in the national spotlight. They will have that same attention on them if we were make it to the playoffs so its for sure a good thing.

Co Co was never a question mark. If you lead the league in saves you sure as hell are getting in the all star game.

Even Brian Fuentes got in

Your probably right. I was having my doubts after his 3rd blown save of the season though.

Sheets pitches on Thursday so he'll be on 4 days rest. Plus we get an extra day off after the all-star break so he may not have to be pushed back if he pitches a couple of innings.

Plus my company will be signing an exclusive deal with Sheets as early as tomorrow so I'll be getting plenty of face time with him the rest of the season. 8)

Peavy and Penny also start Thursday and will be rested. Both deserve to start over Sheets.

Where did you hear that? As MD said, Peavy and Penny both deserve to start over Benny.

I'm really surprised we got all 4 in. I thought Prince and Co Co were locks, and then one of Sheets and JJ would make it.

sheets has kept us from really falling back to the pack. if he doesn't win his last six, thats a few games right there at least. on a side note tonight on wssp i heard something about some mid-season awards (nothing important, probably just a bunch of journalists or sports talk personalities, no idea) and prince was the only unanimous selection for any award as NL MVP

My step dad is a season ticket holder, and he heard from someone that Sheets is starting. I asked him, are you sure he is starting the game? He said Sheets is starting the All Star game. I am not sure if I believe him, but he is obsessed with the Brewers.

Also isn't it up to Larusa who is the starter? Maybe he thinks Sheets is the better pitcher? Idk. Looking at the Stats Penny should be the starter.

Yeah, Penny or Peavy should be the starters. But Penny, Peavy and Sheets all have awesome stuff and are dominating pitchers.

Prince is invited and he will "probably" do it.
