Milwaukee Brewers
48-34 . 1st in the NL central
@
PNC Park
Pittsburgh Pirates
35-47
Probable Starting Pitching
Chris Capuano
Capuano is on track to return to action for the first time since he matched a season-high six earned runs at Texas on June 8. Capuano was a last-minute scratch from his June 13 start at Detroit and went on the disabled list with a groin strain, but he pitched a simulated game at Miller Park on Wednesday and was cleared to return. He is 2-6 with a 6.63 ERA in 10 career starts against the Pirates, who have been tough on left-handed pitchers this season.
Shane Youman
Youman will be called up from Triple-A Indianapolis to make his first Major League start of the year in place of Pittsburgh left-hander Zach Duke, who is experiencing left elbow tendinitis. Youman has gone 4-6 with a 4.70 ERA at Indianapolis but has three wins in his last four starts. He pitched a scoreless 6 2/3 innings in his last outing, though he did allow five walks. Youman went 0-2 with a 2.91 ERA in five games (three starts) for the Pirates last year.

Live Strong Thoughts
Milwaukee once again is proving that they have one of the best offenses in the league . CV is looking great and i see no reason why he shouldn't be in the starting rotation next year along with Gallardo. Suppan really ate up some innings Monday Night

. This guy has always been a good second half pitcher. Today was officially in the second half of the season and he didn't look good.

Can Miller really keep this pace up? Well if you belief in magic he can.
This is Cappys first start back from the dl I don't expect he will go past 5 or 6 innings . So it will be up to the bullpen. Will we see Gallardo first try out of the pen today?
Anyways I predict the brewers win 5-4!

I think Capuano is going to comeback with a vengence. I predict 7 innings 1 run and 6k's in a brewers 6-2 victory.

Cappy will be on a 75 pitch limit tomorrow.
I expect 5 innings, 3 runs, 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts.

Cappy was shaky before the injury, losing 5 starts in a row and one no decision (he pitched well in 2 of those losses, got shelled in 4 of them).
Wilson hits .346 against Cappy, Sanchez .444.

i was thinking the same thing. we didn't exactly miss the production we were getting out of him. i don't believe he was injured at all during that cold streak either. hopefully the time off will help him get his stuff back, because he sure didn't look good in those starts. our offense should hopefully be able to pick him up now that we're playing better, so long as we don't suffer from first-time-seeing-young-call-up-itis

I don't know about any of those predictions. I mean this is Chris Capuano. Not Johan Santana. I expect cappy to get hit a little in the 1st should settle down nicely I would be happy with 3ER 4 would be ok. Maybe we will see gallardo out of the pen tonight. I don't think cappy will go more than 5 innings

Alright he got out of the first unscathed. I was worried about the 1st inning the most for cappy.
