The home team always goes first and always before the stadium is open. Two reasons. It allows the home team as much time as they want, they can go out there at any time, while the visiting team has a locked in timeframe. And doing it before the stadium opens means less distractions, no fans hanging around the dugout begging for balls.

I agree it sucks, who wouldn't want to watch Prince take BP?

I was at a game last year in Milwaukee and some group of people begged the usher to let them in to see Brewers BP but they wouldn't let them. I like the rules at Wrigley where they open the gates 2 hours before game time. I went to the game today and got there 2 hours early and got an autograph from future Rookie of the Year Hunter Pence.
Just kidding I think Braun is going to win it the way he has been playing lately but seriously I hope Pence ends up with 3,000 career hits so I can sell that ball later on for big bucks.

It's 90 minutes at Miller Park, just about the time the visiting team starts their batting practice.

Today my son and I went in right when it opened and by the time we got to the Pro Shop it was already full and there was a line of about 100 waiting to get in. Damn. I've heard they are expanding it next year or adding another one on the other side of the stadium. It's crazy.

I love Hunter Pence. He got a one month start on Braun, it could be either one of them.
