Fix The Freakin' Roof Already

I'm sick of it. A "chance" of rain last night so the roof is closed the whole time. It's problem after problem with this thing. It was closing too slow earlier in the year but it was suppose to be fixed during the last road trip/all star break. Open the damn roof and if it rains THEN CLOSE IT.

They could just always keep it open since the roof leaks like a siv anyway.

There is a reason why they do that. It's much more of a problem to close the roof when it starts raining, because the accompanying wind makes it dangerous to keep it open.

What they should do is get some AC in there. I have been there a few times where its hot and humid and just got done raining or about to rain and then it feels like 90 in there with crazy humidity. Even when they open the panels, that still doesn't do you any good unless you are somewhat close to them it seems. The worst spot is when you are up near the back of the loge level and under the overhang from the club level near home plate. I swear that spot is like a damn sauna when that roof is closed.

The roof is frustrating isn't it?

My only question is, why build a fan-shaped roof? They were aware it was going to leak. Not only that, but it casts lots of shadows, which can make the players' jobs more difficult.

Also, it's so tall, that is seems like an indoor park even when it's open. They should've built the roof the way they did it in Houston.

MD, would you happen to know why they built the roof that way?
