If Barry ties/breaks in Milwaukee...

Post#1 » by WEFFPIM » Fri Jul 20, 2007 2:48 am

If you are going to a game this weekend (all sold out, btw), or even watching at home, and Barry Bonds hits 755/756 in Milwaukee, how will you respond?

He is one of the greratest players in this game. Steroids were a big part of the 90;s. We shouldn't boo him because of what we and the owners created. I don't think it would be right to boo him.

Forget about the steroids issue. He's a first class jerkoff.

We all have our problems, he isn't the type of person who likes to be in the media. Just look at his production and how his team mates respect him, thats all I need to know to cheer this man. One of the greatest players in the MLB.

He won't break it in Milwaukee. I'm going on Sunday but I doubt I'll see him play, I'm just going to watch the Brewers. But if he actually did break it, I would boo.

Bonds said he'll play friday and sunday...

He can tie but I highly doubt he'll break it in Milwaukee.

I'll be there tomorrow. I'm sitting behind home plate, so the only Bond's hit I can catch is a foul ball. Sigh.

a) since when do his teammates respect him? do they pay hommage to him at his secluded la-z-boy?

b) yes, we all have our problems. mine just isn't injecting myself with illegal anabolic steroids, being a top-notch douche on legs, and perjuring myself in front of millions of fans.

c) boo.

Bonds is a juicer, and his personality is really **** up.

Also, I would hate to see him pass our beloved hero Hank Aaron.

I'm sure his teammates love that he has his own private plasma TV and leather recliner in the locker room. They are smart enough not to cause a stink while he's still there, once Bonds retires the true feelings of his teammates will come out.

Would I boo him because he's a jag? Of course.

Who knows if bonds used steroids knowly or not. There is no way to prove that. Everyone in the 90's used steroids. I don't see how you can boo bonds for being one of the most dominating players in the 90's and 2000's steroids or not when he breaks one of the greatest records in the history of sports.

So because a whole bunch of other people used them, it makes it okay for Bonds? Yeah, right. Using the era he played in as an excuse proves nothing. The fact of the matter is, if he did use steroids (and i personally believe those who don't believe so are in a heavy state of denial), it taints this record...though that may be an understatement.
