Well, well, well. Here we are again with our Milwaukee Brewers. Blowing it in the 2nd half again. At least the last couple years it wasn't as dramatic as this year. Good god, please Suppan earn your fricken paycheck. At least we are at home so we might have a chance to pull this one off. But please Brewers, WIN!! Oh, and, DO NOT LET GLAVINE GET WIN #300!!!

Suppan is pitching. Chalk this up as a loss.

Tom Glavine is going for win #300 so for those of you going you may see a piece of history although you probably want to see a win.

But we won't because Suppan is pitching.

But he never loses at Miller Park, that's why we got him!
My favorite part of his recruitment, <barf>.
Is it true Glavine is going for career win #300? I could easily look that up with the internet, but I'd rather just wait for a reply.
Edit: Answered above.

I'm not gonna watch the game tomorrow, maybe that will bring Soup and the Brewers some luck. Clearly me watching them play is not helping them do well.

I seriously have never liked the guy. He always dominated the Brewers with his Tomo Ohka like average slop.

Your Ohka-Soup comparison seems to me to be particularly fitting. You're on to something there.

It will be 17 years to the day that Nolan Ryan got his 300th win in Milwaukee at County Stadium. I was at that game and I hope to be at the game Tuesday night. 300 wins is a big deal.

But of course you want the Brewers to win, right?
I am hoping you do not want to see history

I think we'll go to the game too. I'm hoping they can hold Glavine off, but maybe the atmosphere will be pretty cool for a Tuesday night game either way. And we have one of those Applebee vouchers left that expire the next day.
It'll be the 3rd of Suppan's last 4 starts that I've seen in person. Can't say it was planned, although you know he's a threat to throw 4 innings of no-hit ball any time he steps on the field (probably 98 pitches in that time too). Two of my groomsmen got us great seats to two different games during the last homestead and he pitched both games. He did pretty well for himself that Sunday against the Rockies after racking up a lot of pitches early. But he didn't get enough done on Friday against SF. That reminds me, I saw 5 of Balfour's 6 runs allowed in person too.
At least there are 50+ games left and it's way too early to take every game so seriously. I'm just glad they only have to carry one or two guys like Balfour for different parts of the season, instead of becoming too intimately familiar with Trent Durrington and Matt Kinney.

Cubs lost. We are now tied. I know technically we are a game ahead but we're tied in the loss column, that's what counts.
