Pujols rookie year: 590 AB, .329 average, 37 HR, 130 RBI, 1.013 OPS
Braun rookie year: 262 AB, .347 average, 20 HR, 53 RBI, 1.044 OPS
Braun's rookie year translated to Pujols AB's: 590 AB, .347 average, 45 HR, 119 RBI, 1.044 OPS
Just to put things in perspective as to how great his rookie year has been. He has ROY locked up barring a major drought. This is a historic rookie season and I don't think Braun is getting the pub he has deserved yet because of the Milwaukee market.

Braun sure is something great. Incrediblely great this year. What his contract like in the next few years? I've been hearing the Brewers won't be able to sign him after his contract runs out. Is this true?

He's not up for arbitration for like another 6 years.

You're a little confused. Arbitration after 3 years of service time, free agency after 6.

Arbitration is still be gonna be very expensive if he keeps this up.

He's ours for the next 5 years and arby is never close to what a guy could get on the open market.
Braun is indeed having an historic rookie season so far. Its really fallen under the radar. Even Brewers fans aren't truly appreciative of how ridiculously good he has been.
Gallardo has also been exceptional, and he's only 21.

Why would anyone worry about him leaving when he's played 3 months, geez Brewer fans can be chicken littles. Of course he'll be expensive, so what?
