Plus, he should be allowed to go back to Wrigley regardless.

We'll see, Bartman hasn't been back to Wrigley, I can't imagine a radio station from Milwaukee convincing him to go.

What a classless move. I don't even blame the guy, I blame Dusty Baker leaving Prior in 1 inning too long, or Alex Gonzalez booting a double play ball. I think it's pathetic (yet not surprising) to try to go out and find this guy to go to a Cubs game. The man has already been to hell and back.

It's a radio stunt. I guess Chicago radio stations never do stunts. Dahlman did more stupid things in a month when he had a career.

I don't know who Dahlman is, I do not live in Chicago, I live in Milwaukee. Your excuse of "If they do it, so can we." is very juvenile. Radio stunts have been around since the beginning of radio in every market. They are designed to get people to talk about the station. And guess what, it seems to be working in this case.

I do find it amusing that the mere talk about Bartman gets some scrubs fans up in arms.

You can't estimate the wrath of a drunk cub fan, especially after the Bartman incident. I was there, outside the stadium that night, it wasn't pretty. The cop car that took him away got pelted by everything, rocks, beer bottles, baseballs, etc. It was a sad site. Screw the fact that it was the Cubs, this guy doesn't deserve any of this.

Pick on the damn billy-goat, call us scrubs fans, whatever, but Steve Bartman has been forgiven by true Cub fans. To this day he still needs escorts when he comes anywhere close to downtown. Sad Sad story. Leave this poor soul alone.

I feel very sorry for Bartman. He continues to deal with hate mail and death threats to this day. He also is constantly mocked. I mean, if you had a chance to catch a foul ball at an NLCS game, would you do it? Besides, he didn't even have a ticket to game 7. And, he wasn't the one throwing pitches out there. Mark Prior was.

Judging on all of this info, I guess Cub fans really do take baseball too seriously.

Chicago fans in general live and die by their teams. Remember when the Bulls were winning championship after championship, all the riots that went on in the West Side. Tragedy, sad, it really was.

Now mix in some 90+ years of frustration and some alcohol. Wow!

Yup. I mean, they have great attendance despite the World Series drought, plus they're willing to invade any ballpark, no matter how far away it is from Chicago.

My grandma was born and grew up in Chicago. She tells me that back in the 60's, Cub fans were much different. Back then, they never EVER called the Cubs the "Cubbies", and a game at Wrigley Field was actually a family event.

true story about a family event. My friends and I would go in a group with alternating Dads taking us up to the city. Tickets were less than 15 bucks for good seats and now you need a "hook up" to even get tickets at a reasonable price.

I wish everybody would just drop their beer and jump off the darn bandwagon, then us real Cub fans can carry on with our misery. lol.
