Forget playoffs, what about the winning season streak?

It stands at 14 seasons without a winning season for this abortion of a club. With the way this team has played since, oh let's say May, does anyone have the confidence that this team will finish with a winning record this season? I know I'll get the crap about "hey, there's still a month left, gah hey!" Yeah, they've also played like diarrhea the last 3 months with no sign of turning it around save two weeks in June.

I think we all agree we have more talent than we had two years ago when we were 81-81 and yet we will probably finish with a worse record.

Although there is still a month to go in the season ;)

I wouldn't even say the next month. If the Brewers pull out the next two games they would be on a mini-roll and could snowball that momentum for the next couple of weeks. Who knows, maybe the presence of Sheets alone will spark the team. I hope it doesn't, but you never know.

Yeah anything can happen, but Sheets has been out a long time.

But he's not injury prone. Just he and Bobby Simmons need to take long extended vacations

Ive been thinking the same thing, if sheets loses tomorrow at the cubs, I will have officially have lost all faith and hope of a playoff season. Which if that does happen, please atleast win one game above .500 so we can at least for the benefit of the doubt say we've finally had a legitimit wining season.

I am the most optimistic person probably on this whole board. But this team is done.

Hell of a goal. But to bad we been trying how long to achieve that goal now?
Nothing like a morale victory to keep a crappy ass manager. Tank, tank, tank.

Havent you seen the hand writting on the wall. We started 24-10. We are 15 games under .500 since. Where is the hope coming from?We will be lucky to hold off the Reds who are only 5 and 1/2 back and Pitts who are 6 back.

i still hold out hope they can turn it around. i think most of us have been around sports to know that anything can happen. i garauntee most cardinal fans gave up on em last year. that being said, anyone coming in here and saying there's plenty of time left has not been watching this year. its probably the one phrase thats been repeated the most in here and everywhere in regards to this years crew.

The hope comes from playing in the NL CENTRAL And not wanting to lose that hope the the Cubs.

I am going to watch football from here out. Then check back here to see what the Brewers are doing. But will not watch them on TV.

Thats the problem I have with Yost. This is his best talented team yet same old results. Thats why I want something different. Is this team better than last years? Looks like we went backwards.

Yost is only a small part of a bigger problem with this team. What about maddux on how underpreforming thie pitching staff is this year. I mean the list can go on and on.
