WEFFPIM's Tidbits
-Happy Labor Day to all laborers. I think that those schmucks out there who are unemployed should go work for those of us that aren't, who's with me?
-Baseball wise, a nice pitching matchup is shaping up with Roy "She thinks my tractor's moderately acceptable" Oswalt facing off against Ben "Ow, my...ahhh...my....PANCREAS!!! Yeah, my pancreas hurts. Sit me out for a month" Sheets. Should be a good one (watch 'em both get shelled for 17 runs apiece, First one to 30 wins!)
-How many more interviews does Davey Nelson have to butcher before we join hands across America?
-Is this seriously the 4th game thread in a row I'm doing? Shouldn't that mean a winning streak is occurring? I haven't seen a streak so pronounced since I slammed on my breaks after I ran over a 12-year-old, then went over it again when I floored it in reverse.
-My dog just barked nine consecutive times, and it resembled a better lineup than what Ned Yost manages to get paid for (ZZZING).
-Ah ha ha, Michigan lost. I just can't get over that one.

It's late, my head feels like it was put into a vice, and I'm going to bed. Good Luck, Ben...and Go Brewers.

I'll be there today, I can't pass up a chance to see Sheets vs. Oswalt. Every game is a playoff game for us now.

Gross (.500/.600/.1.125/1.725 career off Oswalt)
Hardy (.400/.400/.600/1.000 career off Oswalt)
Braun (no career AB's against Oswalt)
Fielder (.53/.100/.53/.153 career off Oswalt)
Hart (.500/.500/1.333/1.833 career off Oswalt)
Jenkins (.370/.420/.587/1.007 career off Oswalt)
Estrada (.250/.250/.500/.750 career off Oswalt)
Counsell (.190/.227/.190/.418 career off Oswalt)
Sheets

Now you look at the Weeks and Hall who are out of the lineup and their career numbers vs Oswalt.

Weeks- .133/.176/.333/.510
Hall- .361/.395/.556/.950

Counsell? Why?

Oswalt is a power righty, something that Braun has trouble with. I was hoping for Counsell in today's game. Of course now he'll go 0-4 for 3 K's, but I like the move

Btw, I didn't follow the last Sheets game thread so this may have been asked/answered, but does anyone know why he always looks like he chews on his blister? It seems like if you had a blister developing on your pitching hand you wouldn't want to be biting it.

It's not his hand it's his nails. He always does that.

:) Nice guess at the lineup. One of the first times I've seen someone guess Ned's lineup correctly.
