Ramos traded
Wilson Ramos was traded for closer Matt Capps. Can't say I'm a big fan, Capps peripherals look pretty mediocre.

Re: Ramos traded
He's got a decent amount of saves with horrible teams in the Pirates and the Nationals and made the All-Star game this year so he's got some skill. This trade says "We're goin' for it all this year." In terms of value I'd have to agree with you Worm Guts but do you really think Rauch could take us deep into the playoffs as our closer?

I don't think you need a top notch closer to advance in the playoffs. It's nice to have one, but not a necessity. I also don't think Capps is much, if any better than Rausch.

I don't know much about either except that Capps #'s seem comparable to Rausch and Ramos is a top 50 prospect in baseball

It is funny to read these now and to see that the thoughts about Capps were pretty accurate. He was solid and thats about it.

This store say that "We're going to all this year. " Given the amount I have to agree with you Worm Guts but do you really think Rauch could us deep into the playoffs as our closer.
