We will be playing the Yankees in the first round with the first game Wednesday October 6th on TBS at 7:37 pm CT. Liriano will be facing off against CC Sabathia in the pitching match up.

I'm really excited to see what we can do this year. I would have rather played someone not named the Yankees but still should be a fun series. GO TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow should be a good day of sports, Twins and Wolves play.

I don't like how we limped into post season.... I mean going 5-5 in the last 10 would've gave us homefield throughout.

Which brings me to this... i'm glad we have the yankees... we have a much better shot in a shorter series imo, and we have home field.

I really wish we could head the playoffs with a healthy roster, but I guess I can't complain too much thanks to some decent acquisitions this season.

Its been a good day in Minnesota sports....I fully expect that trend to continue tonight.

The game is about to start...sadly I'll be missing the middle innings as I have prior arrangements but if we win tonight I think we have a great shot at the series. I just can't wait for this, GOOOO TWINS!@!!!!

Man, the Twins just curl up in the fetal position every time they play the Yankees.

Last night was tough. Liriano looked unstoppable through 5 and we did what we needed to in getting 3 runs off CC early. Pretty much everything from there went wrong. Crain's couldn't throw the breaking pitch where he needed to against Texiera and it cost us the game. Well, at least we get a 2nd chance.

Disappointing. Cannot let leads falter, particularly 3 run leads.
Now in must win territory. I hope Pettit has finally lost it.

after yesterday I just didn't believe anymore, thats how negative I am about twins vs yankees. Twins totally buy into the big badass Yankees mystique and play like it every year, every roster

I'm now convinced the Yankees tanked to ensure playing the Twins. They have total control over the Twins, even when trailing. I have no idea what they must be holding over Kubel's head all these years, dirty pics or what? Valencia is a keeper and I hope Capps stays. Oh well, there are some strong prospects in the minors and the team still has a solid foundation. How about a #1 to tighten up the rotation? they need a Jack Morris again.

Ya, I think we need to either acquire a true ace or have one emerge..Liriano has the stuff to do it but will he? Obviously, this series was not a true barometer of our team. We simply weren't playing at our best. Sometimes that happens, sometimes that happens multiple years in a row. We just need to break through one of these times, just like the T'wolves back in the day. Hopefully we have a good offseason, I really see no glaring holes in our team. Go Twins!
