Can we do it again?

Post#1 » by Klomp » Mon Aug 6, 2007 4:41 pm

Last year, the Minnesota Twins made an unbelievable run in the second half of the season by coming back from 12.5 games back to win the AL Central.

Earlier this year on July 26, Minnesota was sitting 9.5 games behind first place. Not even two weeks later, the Twins are 4.5 games behind in the Central and just 4 games back in the Wild Card with almost two months to go.

It hasn't been an easy couple of weeks, as the Twins dealt with the tragedy of the 35W bridge collapse and the trading of their starting second baseman and leadoff hitter Luis Castillo for minor league prospects.

Can they do it? Stay tuned.

No. Last year they had mediocre players hitting very well, including Punto and Bartlett. The bottom of the order aka Piranhas produced a good number of runs. This year they haven't done jack all year.
My Kobe Bryant website I designed myself: http://personal.stthomas.edu/dnnguyen/kb24.
