assuming he makes the team coming out of ST(not a guarantee) and gets 500 AB's

.250 5-10HR 40-50 RBI's 40-50 SB

I think those are best case realistic numbers. It really all depends on his ability to work the count and make contact. If he is not consistent i think the twins will let him work on it down in Rochester. They are notorious for bringin guys around slowly, and they probably wouldnt mind stalling his MLB service time clock, while improving in Rochester.

I'd really like to see Gomez in Rochester to start out the season, he's not ready yet. Pridie and Monroe aren't going to be too much better though.

Spring Training doesn't really mean much to me as far as evaluating talent. The sample size is entirely too small.

He played 58 games last year at the major league level. I don't know if he's ready but I'd give him a legitimate shot to make the team.

I'm wondering if what happens at second might affect who the starter is in center.

If Harris wins second, we will need a leadoff hitter, which means Gomez could likely be the guy, as I think he would be the best at leadoff out of the 3.

If Punto wins the job, he would be leadoff, so there wouldn't be the pressure to rush Gomez.

I actually think Span might win the job and Punto will win 2nd. Just a hunch. Punto starting would give us more pop off the bench too.

Don't you want someone who gets on base batting leadoff? I think Harris has to be the starter.

The worst thing they could possibly do is give Punto more at bats than anyone else. There's no way he'd lead off.

I don't know how you could possibly go from batting in the low .200s to batting leadoff the next year.
