Its not money, the dumb ass Mets are trying to only give him a 5 year deal with options for more years instead of just going 6 or 7 years guaranteed. Why trade for him if we are going to be stubborn about guaranteeing 6 or 7 years. We can give old players 4 year deals, but we can't give a 29 year old ACE 6 or 7.

Yeah it's so many different stories out there. Yesterday I read the Mets were close to signing him and then I read that the Mets were at 7/140 and he want 7/160...I don't think anybody but the Mets, Santana and his agents know what the hold up is. I just want to see something saying Mets and Santana agree on long-term deal, so I can spend the rest of the day happy.
